What it is doing

Sculptra is a powder of poly-L-lactic acid, mixed and placed under the skin in areas that have thinned. The idea is that the body builds collagen around it. That is the mechanism. It is not a promise that every face fills in the same way.

A gel filler holds a shape the day it is placed. Sculptra does not. Patients who want a lip or a sharp jawline the same week are in the wrong visit. Patients who can wait, and who want a softer change, are the ones this is for.

Where it is used
