CoolPeel on the Cartessa Tetra PRO

At Lifespark Health & Wellness in Roseville, CoolPeel is a short-pulse CO2 treatment run on the Cartessa Tetra PRO. It is a surface treatment. A deeper fractional setting on the same device is used when the concern sits lower in the skin. Ramneek Kahlon, FNP-C, examines the skin and chooses the setting.

5 Skin concerns it may address

  1. Tone and mild sun damage
CoolPeel can address surface pigment and uneven color from sun exposure. Spots may darken briefly then flake. Deeper or stubborn pigment often needs the fractional setting or a different approach first.
  2. Texture and visible pores
The short-pulse treatment creates a controlled surface response. A smoother feel and less noticeable pores, if they change, usually appear over a series of visits spaced several weeks apart. A single session is not expected to finish the work.
  3. Fine lines
Crow’s feet, lip lines, and early creasing may soften as the surface renews. Deeper etched lines typically need the fractional pass rather than CoolPeel alone.
  4. Mild dullness
Some patients notice a temporary glow in the first days from increased circulation and surface renewal. Longer texture changes, if they occur, show over the following weeks.
  5. What still needs the fractional setting
Pitted acne scars, heavier sun damage, and etched lines sit deeper. These are discussed as a fractional CO2 plan on the same device, not as a CoolPeel result.

What it does not do

CoolPeel is not a lift. It does not tighten significant laxity or replace surgery. It does not erase deep pitted scars. Melasma and active inflammation need a separate review before any laser is planned. A tan is a reason to wait.

Downtime

CoolPeel downtime is typically a few days of redness or light bronzing. The fractional setting on the same device usually involves several days of peeling and pinkness. Makeup timing and activity limits are discussed at the visit. This is not zero downtime.

How the visit works

Ramneek Kahlon, FNP-C, reviews history and examines the skin. The setting (CoolPeel or fractional) is chosen to match the concern and the calendar. Numbing is used. Aftercare is SPF, a bland moisturizer, and no picking. A series may be recommended; the number of visits is set after the exam, not before.
